Keep Your Headlights Safe

The headlights on your vehicle are probably the easiest thing to check out to ensure they are functioning properly and keeping your family safe and sound.

Usually, if a headlamp goes out, a light on your dash panel will illuminate to let you know it's time to replace. However, on some makes and models, this isn't an option. If your car falls into this category, don't fret! The easiest way to make sure both headlights are working is to park a couple of feet from a building (side of a house or in front of the garage is perfect), turn on your headlights and make sure they're illuminating evenly. If one looks significantly brighter, chances are the opposite bulb needs to be replaced.

Some care enthusiasts suggest a simple walk around. Walk around and do a visible inspection on your headlights. Look for cracks, damage or any kind of cloudiness. This is a great and simple idea.
