Get to Know the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid

The Honda Accord family is redesigned for 2018. That includes the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid, which gets a major going-over after its reintroduction in 2017. Our favorite hybrid just got a little better and is well worth the trip to Gillman Honda San Benito.

While each of the new Honda Accord models shares some changes in common — especially an exterior refresh that makes for a shorter, lower, and somewhat wider car — the Honda Accord Hybrid comes in for a couple of changes all its own.

The most important change regards the battery pack, which is moved out of the trunk. That doesn’t sound like a big deal ’til you stop to consider that its trunk space is finally the same as its gas-powered sibling.

The gas-powered 2018 Honda Accord already offered excellent fuel economy, but the hybrid version goes just a bit further per tank. And you won’t sacrifice power, either, since the gas engine and two electric motors are capable of 212 net horsepower.

New Honda cars also have a reputation for safety to uphold, and the Honda Accord doesn’t disappoint. It offers Honda Sensing driver assist features as standard equipment, so you get adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning on all trims. Step up to a higher trim and you can opt in lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, and automatic emergency braking.

The Honda Accord occupies pride of place in the brand’s lineup. It’s proven sturdy and reliable year in and year out for more than four straight decades. These days, it has more tricks up its sleeve, including good looks and, especially in hybrid form, excellent fuel economy. Visit Gillman Honda San Benito for a test drive. We serve the Brownsville, TX area from our showroom at 1801 Industrial Way.
