Fishing Adventures
Head down to Bass Pro in Harlingen and get properly equipped for a day full of fun and fishing. There is a lot to check out. Peruse the massive aquarium or wander the art gallery, and there’s always even special events held at the store to get the community involved. Hungry? This may not be a surprise, but the Fudge Shop and Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill are both on property and are delicious!
Want to get out on the water? Check out Family Fun Fishing Adventures in San Benito! The fishing trips vary. You’ll spend the day on the ocean! It doesn’t get more spring break than that.
Gladys Porter Zoo
All ages can enjoy a good zoo trip! This zoo is located on 26 acres and houses more than 1600 exotic animals. Learn about conservation or even feed a giraffe! Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum
Get to know where you are from by visiting the Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum. Check out the home of our city founder, Lon C. Hill. Tour the very first hospital in Harlingen as well as Paso Real Stagecoach Inn. Escape to a different era for the day, you won’t regret it.
Hit The Beach!
We are so fortunate to be able to say, “our home is where you vacation.” Utilize it! Take a drive to South Padre Island. From the swim to surf there is plenty to do by the sea shore. Go on a dolphin watch or take a horseback riding excursion. Go out of your comfort zone, or don't! Just go enjoy yourself.
