Drivers and enthusiasts alike can’t help but be impressed by the new Honda Civic, and we don’t blame them. With a stellar design and quite a bit of power, it’s spry, stable, and a lot of fun to drive at any speed. But if you want to go a bit faster, there’s a newcomer to the American Honda family arriving this spring: the Civic Type R.

Previously, the Type R was only available in Europe, until the clamoring of enthusiasts told Honda that an American-spec hot hatch was more than worth a shot. It was unveiled last week at the Geneva Motor Show with an eye-catching, aggressive design, 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, and an exclusive manual transmission. With its turbocharged inline-four bringing peak torque into play low in the rev range, we expect the Civic Type R to get moving in a hurry, and delight at every turn.

Want a closer look at the new Type R? It arrives at our Honda dealership in San Benito, TX later this spring. Drop us a line by phone or live chat to schedule a test drive with it, or any other new models on our lot.
